oh how i love you thursday. you are my new favorite day of the week {well ok, you are still in competition with friday, but it is a close call}. you see thursday now signals the end of my work week. i have 3 day weekends, every weekend now. the work week is a little harder because being at my desk for so long is quite exhausting {whoever thought that sitting at a desk could be exhausting}. but the fact that i only have to be at the desk 4 days instead of 5 is awesomely great. on this day today, the end of my first week working this new schedule, i feel excited. excited to spend tomorrow {a weekday} with E. and even more excited that the day after that will be saturday. but come monday i know i will feel a little down because working 10 hours on a monday should be considered cruel and unusual punishment. so for the next 12 weeks i will be in this roller coaster of exhaustion and excitement. mondays will be bad but thursdays will be great. so goes the life of summer working.
i am so irritated with lost. every one just keeps dying... everyone is dead except for like 4 people. i mean come on. it was like they decided that a character's story line didn't fit in with their ending, so they got killed by the smoke monster/locke/man in black. and that was that. i was mad when richard died in this weeks episode. i really liked him. he was a part of the show for so long and then all of the sudden, he's just gone with no explanation. this seasons episodes have been decent but reflecting over the past six years of this show, i decided it's just a crazy show. i don't think all the questions introduced will ever be answered. and the 2 hour series finale on sunday has a lot of explaining to do, to get a positive opinion out of me at the end of it. i am hopeful that there will be some closure and glad that the show will be over for good.

sew - 24 - train
here's my latest quilt up on the design wall. i'm really diggin' this one. inspiration from here. i still need to add the stripes in between the blocks.
but you see there is a problem with all this sewing i do. i forget to do other things {like fix E's pants that have been sitting around for several weeks}. this morning he wanted to wear them and i hadn't fixed them yet because i get so preoccupied with my projects. sewing pants just isn't as fun as my quilts & blankets.
i ordered the first season of 24. i hear we're in for some non stop watching. not like we have the time for it, but i'm sure it'll be fun. since we don't have cable we have to have something on hand to watch when we're feeling like it. opinions on 24? who's watched it, is it good and will we like it?
E trained me hard yesterday. a challenging hour of yoga and then a 3 mile run. after the yoga i complained about how i didn't want to run because i was tired from the yoga. then E threatened to stop coaching me if i complained about the workouts any more. and i can't risk losing E as my mentor/trainer/coach so i tried to stop complaining. then on the drive over to the run, E gave me the speech, "training is hard and that's what makes you better. it takes doing it even when it's hard". so i went on the run and i felt amazing. coach always knows best.
E just emailed me and swiming is on the schedule for today.

Dancing with the Stars
What not to Wear
Oprah

The one where we watch Arrested Development
Eric and I just finished the second season of Arrested Development.
Let me just say H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S
Favorite episode from season 2: "Meet the Veals" I literally fell off the couch because I was laughing so hard. It makes me giggle just thinking about it.
Here are some good lines. Sorry if they don't make sense or aren't funny to you.
You'll just have to start watching it, so you can get some good laughs.
BUSTER: I’m a monster
MAEBE: Marry me!
NARRATOR: Neither he nor G.O.B. were prepared for the challenges of using cats to catch a seal.
LUCIELLE: Today at lunch, you were ashamed to be with me?
GOB: No. I was ashamed to be seen with you. I like being with you.
NARRATOR: Tobias was a never nude, which is exactly what it sounds like.
MICHAEL: I wonder how I can talk you out of ever making that face again.
How can you not love the Bluth men

LOST
Eric and I were so excited to watch the season 4 premiere of Lost last night. But I think we had gotten a little spoiled. We were able to watch so many episodes and find out so much about everything so quickly. We just devoured it.
But being forced to watch this episode with commercials and pretty much not find out anything new, I was a little disapointed. That being said, I still enjoyed it and am still way into it. I am excited for the future episodes and finding out more about everything. Plus its way fun to have a show that Eric and I both enjoy watching together.

We did it
We watched all 3 seasons of Lost!
We are all caught up for the season 4 premiere on January 31st.
I can't believe we actually watched it all. I never thought I would ever get Eric to watch that much TV. We watched 70 Episodes in 2.5 weeks. I know, we are losers.
We would try and tell ourselves to slow down and spread them out, but we just couldn't do it.
So, we're done and we've sold back all 3 seasons used on amazon.
Now we are just having withdrawals.

LOST
Thanks be to Andrew, Loni, JD and Miranda for getting us hooked on Lost. We watched a ton of episodes while we were in Utah and now Eric and I can't get enough. We wanted to start watching from the start so we bought season 1 and season 2 (from our calculations buying them and then selling them back was the cheapest way to go, for anyone who is curious)
We finished the 1 st season yesterday and are onto the 2nd season. We're hoping to be all caught up for the season 4 premiere on January 31st.

Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune

So Eric and I don't have cable. We have rabbit ears on top of our TV.
Because of this, we have started to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune at night.
It turns out, I really enjoy watching them.
We are also faithful watchers of America's Funniest Home Videos and The Office. That's about all the channels we get. And each time we change the channel we have to adjust the ears to get a better signal.
