Choice blessings await those who live in thanksgiving daily. “He who receiveth all things with thankfulness,” the Lord has promised, “shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more” (D&C 78:19).
this talk. Read it, it will bring you happiness.
I have been wallowing in self pity and this was just what I needed today.

Missionaries

Eric and I had the missionaries over for dinner tonight. It was really fun. I'm pretty sure it was the first time in our marriage that we've had missionaries over for dinner. It was nice to have some other people to talk to over dinner besides Eric. Eric is great to talk to also, but something different is always exciting. I made chicken enchiladas and we ate all the food. We usually have leftovers with just the two of us.
Oh and it was so funny. We introduced them to Kaya and Rory after we ate and they were kind of afraid of them. They weren't sure if they wanted to hold them or not. But then when we showed them how cute and cuddly they are, they held them. And then took pictures of of each other holding them. It made me smile.
I'm happy that we are in a good ward with people we like!

New Callings

Eric and I had a busy and eventful Sunday.

To start off, I received a calling before church. Eric gave the opening prayer in sacrament meeting. I was sustained during sacrament meeting and then I gave the closing prayer. Eric received his calling after sacrament meeting. Eric taught Elders Quorum and I had a crazy time in my new calling. We had tithing settlement and to end the day our home teacher and my visiting teacher came by.

Eric is the 1st Counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency and I am the Nursery Leader. It is great to have callings and be more involved in this new ward.

I am a little nervous but very excited to be in there. I definitely think I will learn some new and great things in Nursery. And please any suggestions or advice you have for me would be greatly appreciated. I am a little overwhelmed at the moment.

The Elders Quorum President is into triathlons, so Eric and him get a long great.

So we had a good day!
